2025 Monthly EV Sales in Australia: Model by Model
Feast your eyes on the table below, where we meticulously track the monthly sales performance of each battery electric vehicle model currently available in Australia. You might notice some gaps (represented by a ‘-‘). This simply means we're awaiting data from the respective manufacturers. This is often the case for EVs that also have traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) versions of the same model, and the manufacturers don't always break out the EV numbers separately.
Below the individual model tallies, you'll find the total monthly EV sales figures as reported by the FCAI and EVC. And this is the part most people miss... The difference between these two totals represents the number of EVs for which we're still missing individual model data. It highlights the challenges in obtaining a complete, granular view of the market.
Some manufacturers have informed us that they won't be providing EV-specific breakdowns beyond what's already available in the VFacts report. So, unfortunately, some data will remain elusive unless we can uncover alternative sources. We're always on the hunt, though!
We've revamped our table format to make it even more user-friendly! You can now sort each column by clicking on the header, filter rows to find exactly what you're looking for, and adjust the number of rows displayed. By default, the table is sorted by the Year-to-Date (YTD) column, showcasing the top 10 best-selling vehicles.
Use the dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the table to adjust the number of visible rows, and enter your search criteria in the search box in the top-right corner to display only matching rows. Happy exploring!

*XPeng recently shared a YTD figure of between 1,700 and 1,800 G6 sales up to October 2025. To provide a consistent monthly view, we've divided this total equally across the first 10 months of the year and carried forward that average for the remaining months. This is an estimate, of course, but it gives a good indication of their performance.
2025 Monthly EV Sales in Australia: Brand Power
Now, let's zoom out and look at the bigger picture: brand performance. The table below tracks monthly sales volume by brand for all battery electric vehicles currently sold in Australia. This data is aggregated from the model-level sales figures above, so the same caveats about missing data apply here as well.

But here's where it gets controversial... Some argue that focusing on brand-level data obscures the individual successes and failures of specific models. Others believe that brand loyalty and reputation heavily influence purchasing decisions, making brand-level analysis essential. What do you think? Is model-specific data more valuable, or is the brand view more insightful? Let us know in the comments!
