Cross Country Record: Doe, Fielding, Brady Among McQuaid Invitational Winners

Several Section III cross-country teams took part in the McQuaid Invitational on Saturday. The competition is divided into several race categories depending on the size and level of the school.

Section III riders Alexa Doe, McKinley Fielding and Kyleen Brady were among the first in their respective races. Here are the top three finishers in McQuaid’s Section III.

South Lewis riders dominate at Tully Invitational

South Lewis riders Lexi Bernard and Collin Stafford both won the Tully Invitational on Saturday.

Lexi Bernard won the race in 19: 20.4, followed by sister Brynn Bernard in 19: 35.5 and teammate Mallory Kraeger in 20: 13.7.

Cazenovia won the tag team title, led by Olivia Wong who finished fifth in 21: 52.6

Stafford won the boys’ race in 16: 32.2. He was followed by Jared Valentin of Cortland, in 16: 52.1 and Cassidy Gilmore of Cazenovia, in 17: 55.2.

Cicero-North Syracuse won the tag team title, led by fourth-place Ashton Murdock, in 18: 00.2.

Whitesboro Invitation

Led by Gianna Welker and Paris Welker, the daughters of Oriskany won the competition by invitation. Gianna won the race in 20: 25.0 and Paris was second in 20: 48.3

Omar Mohamed of Utica Proctor won the boys’ race in 17.49.4. New Hartford won the tag team title, led by third-place Anthony Falvo, 18: 12.9.
