Four South Callaway softball players make all-district teams

The MSHSAA announced the District 3 Class 2 softball teams for all districts on Tuesday; four South Callaway players were included.

McKenzie Laughlin of the Lady Bulldogs made the first team as a pitcher; she also made the second team conference. In the circle, Laughlin had 13 wins and 137 strikeouts. At plate, she had three home runs (team leader) and 21 RBIs (team leader). On the field, she had a field percentage of .979.

South Callaway’s Reagan Arrowood was selected to the first team as a receiver; she also made the second team conference. At the plate, Arrowood recorded a .405 batting average, 34 hits, two homers and 20 RBIs. On the field, she knocked out 29% of base stealers and had a .994 field percentage.

Abbi Patrick of the Lady Bulldogs made the first team as an infielder; she also made the entire first-team conference. At plate, Patrick recorded a .456 batting average (third-best in the Show-Me conference) and 36 hits (team leader). As a baserunner, she stole 29 bases (Show-Me Conference leader). Patrick is committed to playing softball at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa.

South Callaway’s Alaney Miller made the second-team all-district. At the plate, Miller recorded a .364 batting average, 28 hits, seven doubles and 20 RBIs.
