India led by Kohli ‘enjoys’ Babar strike on West Indies
DUBAI: The Indian cricket team arrived for their match against England at Dubai Cricket Stadium, but before they could start their match the team witnessed an exemplary strike from Pakistani skipper Babar Azam.
The Pakistani captain, who ranks as the top batsman in the ODI, scored an impressive half-century with the help of six 4s and a six, as he helped his team beat the West Indies.
Pakistan had beaten the West Indies by seven wickets thanks to an all-out team effort in their warm-up match.
The Pakistani bowlers also put on a good show against an aggressive Caribbean team. The Windies never seemed comfortable at bat first, losing wickets at regular intervals and only managing to finish their inning 130/7 of their 20 overs.
Meanwhile, as Babar beat, the Indian side watched as they got a taste of what they would face in the October 24 high-octane clash against Pakistan.
Jumping on the bandwagon, social media users also had fun as they said “Indian fans are enjoying” Babar’s stick.
Here is how they reacted:
Anmol Farya, visibly anxious for the Asian cricket giants to come together on Sunday, loved the sight of the Indian cricket team watching from the stands as Babar Azam occasionally stroked the ball up to the fence.
“Indian cricketers have arrived at the stadium while Pakistani players are in the middle. That October 24 feeling is already there,” she tweeted.
