Liverpool vs Shrewsbury Town on TV? Live stream details and team news

Some of the players who started that cup tie may well appear again for the hosts as Liverpool continue to grapple with COVID-19 cases and injuries.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of this afternoon’s game.

Team news

Liverpool assistant coach Peter Krawietz said little about the Reds’ current situation with Covid when he was at a press conference yesterday afternoon.

Replacing both Klopp and Pep Lijnders, who recently contracted the virus, the 50-year-old has kept a low profile on which players may be in the running.

“I can’t give you exact numbers, but obviously the situation is like that for tomorrow’s game,” Krawietz said of the suspected COVID tests.

“We have a team, we have a team, we can play and we will try to win this game.

“There is a difficult situation there. We have had a few injuries, illnesses, cases of COVID and this is the situation we have to face. We also have to wait for some results; the players are not there. [yet] so for today they have to do their test before they can get to the building and that’s why i can’t speak to the exact numbers. “
