Manjrekar is unconvinced of Jadeja’s staff as feud continues

IPL 2021: Manjrekar strikes again Ravindra Jadeja, now versatile CSK “just a medium-paced tyrant” for former Indian cricketer

IPL 2021 – Manjrekar vs. Ravindra Jadeja: Sanjay Manjrekar hit the headlines once again, this too for his new dig at Allrounder India & CSK Ravindra Jadeja. According to the former Indian cricketer, Jadeja is just a “Medium-paced bully” & “Can’t hit quality race leaders”. Manjrekar made these comments in reference to Jadeja’s game-winning shot for CSK against KKR as he scored a 22 quick-shot.

Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Sanjay Manjrekar expressed doubts whether Ravindra Jadeja can continue her good form against quality bowling. The former Indian cricketer turned commentator said: “I’m still not convinced by Jadeja’s hitter, especially the role CSK gave him. If he gets the same role every game, will he be able to continue his performance against the quality bowlers or not? Because so far he has pounced on bowlers like Prasidh Krishna and Harshal Patel. It remains to be seen if he will also be offensive against the rapids that attempt to attack him.

IPL 2021: Manjrekar vs Jadeja continues, ex-cricketer questions CSK star’s hitting days right after winning shot

IPL 2021 – What exactly happened? Jadeja slammed Prasidh Krishna for 22 in the 19th round of CSK to reduce the equation from 26 of 12 to just four in the final. The left-hander had previously hit Hashal Patel for 37 points in the game against RCB in Phase 1. The all-rounder dictated the procedures with the stick whenever the opportunity was presented to him, scoring an average of 59.66 and racked up 179 races at a strike rate of 146.72.

But according to Manjrekar, all of those races have run into average Pacers and that’s why he called out Jadeja “Medium-paced bully”

Manjrekar vs Jadeja – The context? Despite his constant comebacks in all formats, Manjrekar’s criticism of Jadeja remains a feud that dates back to the 2019 World Cup in England.

  • Sanjay Manjrekar started his quarrel with Jadeja by calling him “parts” player at the 2019 World Cup.
  • The comment was not well received by the player and his fans.
  • The southpaw had responded to criticism on Twitter saying the former cricketer had “Verbal diarrhea”.
  • When Jadeja scored a pivotal half-century against New Zealand in the semi-finals, the Indian cricketer later revealed he sought the commentator’s lodge while celebrating his half-century.

IPL 2021: The former Indian cricketer, however, reserved praise for the Chennai Super Kings star, suggesting the left-hander was an asset with the ball in hand. He said, “The crucial thing Jadeja has done in his last two matches is that he has completed his full quota of overs. CSK skipper MS Dhoni breathes a sigh of relief as Jadeja throws her four overs in the game. If Jadeja continues to play her full quota of overs, he becomes a valuable asset for her team.
