WATCH: Rohit Sharma pulls off a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Dominic Drakes – IND vs WI, 3rd T20I

Team India maintained their active domination over West Indies in the battle for the white ball as the hosts won the third and final T20I by 17 points to sweep the three-game series at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. Notably, India had also shut out West Indies in the three-game ODI leg.

Just like the second T20I, the home team managed to defend the total in the difficult dew-impacted conditions, thanks to a sensational display of death bowling. Another thing that matched the second T20I was the sloppy display on the home side.

India lost a few catches which could have cost them the game, but luckily they didn’t. Captain Rohit Sharma was, as usual, proactive on the court and gave a glimpse of it by catching a stunner in the Windies pursuit finale.

It all happened on the third ball of the 20th most upset by all-rounder Shardul Thakur. The right hander threw a slower delivery which was pushed hard by the tailender Dominic Drakes. But Rohit had moved into the wide middle position and didn’t waste the opportunity to take Drakes’ hold.

The Indian skipper moved a little further to his right and timed the dive perfectly to grab a low hold to shorten Drakes’ innings.

In response, the visitors could only go 167/9, losing the game by 17 points. vice captain Nicholas Poran again he had the highest score with 61 out of 47 deliveries but didn’t get enough support from the other side. For India, Harshal Patel was the bowlers’ choice, winning three wickets for 22 runs.
